Crystal Kelch, Director,

Kelch has been with MCID Washington since its inception and assumed the position
of Director in January 2003. For the past decade, the International Visitor Leadership
Program has been the focal point of Ms. Kelch's career. During the course of this
time she has created countless, insightful programs for distinguished visitors from
across the globe and she continues to provide strong leadership for both the organization
and its staff. Ms. Kelch's previous professional experience includes facilitating
public-private partnerships and business linkages between American and foreign companies
and managing investor portfolios at a nationally recognized investment management
firm. She holds a M.B.A, with a sub-specialty in International Management, from
American University and a B.A from Boston University.
Jeana Lim, Program Manager

– Ms. Lim joined MCID in January 2005. Her previous experience includes coordinating
local community service programs and volunteer efforts, managing large-scale projects
for various Washington, DC and New York law firms, and living and working (teaching
ESL) in Japan. Other countries in the Asia-Pacific region to which she has traveled
include South Korea, Vietnam, New Zealand and the Philippines. Ms. Lim holds a B.A.
in Political Science, with a focus on international relations, from Grinnell College.
Lillian Mattiaccio,

–Ms. Mattiaccio joined MCID in July 2005. Her previous experience includes work
with international exchange and study abroad programs, international training and
community development. Prior to moving to Washington, DC, Ms. Mattiaccio spent several
years living and working in Guinea, West Africa. She has traveled extensively throughout
Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe and is fluent in Spanish and French
and conversational in Pulaar. Ms. Mattiaccio holds a M.A. in International Education,
with a focus on cross-cultural communication and arts-based programs, from George
Washington University.
Julius Bass, Director of Finance
(e-mail link: DIRFNMC@aol.com) – Mr. Bass serves
as MCID's Director of Finance. A graduate of Jackson State University, Mr. Bass
has worked with the organization since its inception.
Emily Kalogeropoulos,
Program Manager (email link: ekalos@mcidwashington.org)
Ms. Kalogeropoulos joined MCID in June of 2010. Previous to this position,
she worked as an English Language Office (ELO) for the U.S. Department of State.
Her responsibilities included: accompanying and assisting international visitors
as they traveled throughout the U.S.; and acting as a liaison for the Department
of State and National Program Agencies. She has traveled extensively both domestically
and abroad. Her international excursions have taken her to numerous countries
in Europe, Africa, and Asia. She holds a B.A. in Political Science, with a
concentration in Economics, from Virginia Tech.
Taline Kevonian, Program Coordinator (email link:

Ms. Kevonian, the most recent addition to MCID, joined in September 2010. She has
traveled to numerous countries in Western Europe, the Middle East, Southern Caucasus,
Africa, and South America. She is fluent in Armenian and French and proficient in
Russian and Portuguese. Ms. Kevonian received a dual Master's Degree in International
Affairs, Conflict Resolution, and Civil Society Development from the American University
of Paris and the Institut Catholique de Paris. She also attended the American University
in Washington, DC, where she studied International Development with a focus on Corruption,
Transparency, and Governance.
